Your Vote is Your Voice

The month of February provided us with many things to get the year started with a bang. Of course, we could never overlook Valentine’s Day and I hope that you all had a happy one. February also highlighted Black History Month. I encourage us all to continue to explore the contributions made by all races that contribute to making America what it is.

Last but not least, none of us were exempt from witnessing our presidential candidates flooding our lives with their campaigns in the hope of becoming the nation’s 45th president. I read the following statement on and agree with it 100%. The statement reads “Your vote is your voice as an American citizen. It’s your opportunity to be heard, to hold elected officials accountable for their decisions and to have a say in important issues that affect your community.”
